Hudson Plog & Litter Clean-up – Saturday, October 28
Join us for Hudson Plog/Litter Cleanup!
The event will begin at 11:00am and conclude by 1:00pm. The drawing will occur at 1:00pm.
Check-in starts at 10:00am at Vertical Runner in Hudson.
Run or Walk. Get fit while picking up litter! Did you know Northeast Ohio is one of the worst spots in North America for plastic pollution? We live in a massive ancient wetlands and watershed, much of which flows north into Lake Erie. You can help by joining us and keeping plastic pollution out of the watershed before it gets churned into harmful microplastics!

Running, or walking?
Our running group will start from Vertical Runner a few minutes after 11am, following Aurora Rd out around the High School. See map below for details. The running course is approximately 4.5 miles. We plan to move quickly, so we can make it back to Vertical Runner on or before 1:00pm.
This is an inclusive event, and we want everyone to have fun. So we’ve proposed several courses. Your choice. Your distance. Proposed course maps are below.

SAFETY! IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ! YES, YOU!
Your safety is paramount. Because this is a voluntary event where people are potentially working along roadways and parking lots, we encourage you to use the utmost caution, and only plog areas where you are safe. Do not enter private property. If you encounter any litter that appears dangerous or questionable in some way – like broken glass for example – or is in an area that is hard to get to, like deep in the brush, along a creek, or on an embankment, just leave it there, and let us know.
