What We Do
GMLC is a non-profit organization that preserves land through purchase or conservation easement in the Village of Gates Mills Ohio.
Gates Mills Land Conservancy in an all volunteer land trust formed in September of 1988. Our founding fathers were Village residents who wished to permanently preserve and steward the woodlands, fields, wetlands, and fresh water streams that make Gates Mills a beautiful place to live for us and for the abundant birds and wildlife that also call the Village home.
Over the years the generosity and support of Gates Mills Villagers, in the form of donated land, funds, and conservation easements, has allowed GMLC to acquire 22 properties totaling 210 acres, and it protect another 29 properties comprised of 451 acres through conservation easements and deed restrictions.
